Countdown to Valentine Day has started. I look at my son who is just 10yrs, and valentine currently means little or nothing to him. I know in a few years he will join the ‘Valentine Love Train”. I can’t help but wonder about his future girlfriend/spouse. This thought sometimes frightens me because apart from accepting Jesus as His Lord and Saviour, this is the next most important decision he will make that guarantees a good and happy life. I want above all for it to be the right decision. With increasing rates of divorces, spouses killing each other, depression, dysfunctional homes and children, I am scared.Reahttps://9ijakids.com/my-sons-future-valentine/d more

My older son is preparing for entrance exams into Secondary School and one of the subjects that’s a challenge is English – specifically vocabulary and creative writing. That’s one of my regrets – I didn’t get him to latch on the love of reading early.Rehttps://9ijakids.com/?p=12759ad more

As 2018 is rolling out, I have taken time to evaluate how things turned out for me as a parent in 2018. I’ve been ticking my boxes and questioning my success rate at the goals I set for 2018. One of such goals was to yell less lol. Needless to say, I fell short on this goal according to my son.Read mhttps://9ijakids.com/parenting-new-year-resolutions-for-2019/ore
